Harbour Delights – with Stonehaven’s Maritime Rescue Institute on 13 June 2005

Stonehaven Business Association held their second social and networking evening this year, at MRI headquarters at the Harbour in Stonehaven. The event was open to all the local business community, to meet with other businesses and enjoy an evening of fascinating insight into the local Search and Rescue Team’s work. The more adventurous,(pictured above) took to the sea in two organised boat trips and were able to bask in the beauty of Stonehaven’s coastline, while gaining information on MRI’s valuable rescue work.

Onshore, Ann Laing of MRI gave a presentation of their work and her colleague Robert gave an interesting talk and demonstration of how rescues were carried out using a stretcher.

The evening concluded with a mouthwatering light supper and wine/refreshments at the new Boathouse Restaurant.
