New Delicatessen for Stonehaven
A welcome addition to Stonehaven's Retail scene is the Delicatessen on Evan Street which opened on Thursday 3rd March 2005
The business is owned and operated by Jennifer and Alan Robertson, who, both in the 'forty something' bracket, wanted to do something in life that was interesting, exciting, involved working for themselves and also gave them satisfaction.

Alan was for many years involved in the hotel and catering industry, having owned a hotel in Stonehaven, and after a total career change, was involved in the motor industry, having worked recently for one of the world's best, if not the best, premier car franchises. Jennifer, after working for a local medical centre for around 20 years, had a break to raise two boys.

Originally the idea was to have a small shop for Jennifer to run but as the concept grew Alan became more and more excited and decided it was all or nothing.

The shop is well laid out with two chill counters having a fine selection of meats. Other departments include a Cheese Counter, Wine Cellar, Beer Cellar,Spice Rack and a selection of wonderful coffee from Boaters Coffee Company.

The couple are very customer focused and in this early period of their development they are willing to listen to comments and suggestions from their customers.

Shopping here is very pleasant as a wonderful atmosphere is created by the layout, the lighting, the friendly service and the soothing background music.
