Pipe
The Stonehaven Highland Games are held in July every year at the Mineralwell Park.
Large crowds are entertained by the Local Pipe Band, Highland Dancers etc.
There are also Track Events and Tug o' War

The heavy events such as Throwing the Hammer, Tossing the Caber and Putting the Shot are still as popular as ever.
The 2003 event attracted a crowd of over 5000 as the town basked in intense sunshine.

The events went really well and numbers were high in everything from dancing right through to the light events.

Several local Clubs and Traders had stalls and there was plenty fun things for the children.

Organiser Roger Barnett had prayed that the recent good spell of weather would last but doubts were expressed when the weather changed on Saturday 19th July.

By Sunday, however, he could not have wished for a better day

The event was compered by well known North East personality, Robbie Shepherd

Large crowds remained until the end to watch the last pull of the tug o' War event at 5.30pm.

A great day out for all concerned.
